Moving up a Gear!

It’s time to mobilise the troops!

No I’m not talking about Daffy’s mobile phone, this is the week were we start getting the boys back together in a more serious manner- for Shark football training.

It’s been a busy day, Shark HQ has  a new front page (complete with Twitter integration)  and the facebook club area sent out invites for the long-awaited training session 5- scheduled for  Sunday the 8th of August 2pm from the Dammies. A good turnout is expected and word has been sent to manager Robert Gray to make everything nice and official.

As always, former players and talented lads are invited to come along and take part in the fun. It’s still free and for the first few weeks it will likely be a straight game of football.

It’s not known if former manager, Graham Lowe will be attending, but I’ll be calling later in the week to try and persuade him.

More Soon!

It all starts here!

Greetings Shark fans!

Well it’s that time again, the moment when the grass boots are dusted down and readied for that first training session of the season – that’s this Sunday 16th of May from the dammies. 2pm to 4pm.

The legendary mountainlionManager Robert Gray and deputy Graham Lowe should be in attendance and there are several veterans threatening to put in an appearance – myself included.

This season we want to have some SERIOUS FUN as well as show improvement – but we need YOU to make the effort and get your arse down to the dammies. Bring a friend, hell, bring your girlfriend we don’t care – just please make an effort to appear help get things off to an excellent start.

The mountainlion Davey Hobbs is set for an historic appearance and former favourite Kevin McGillivray may be there too – if it doesn’t rain!

See you on Sunday. :-)

Aye boys it’s true. The team is in serious jeopardy at the moment and recent training sessions have a very poor turnouts. We need to save the team!

So the next training session is affy important. It will take place doon at the dammies on Sunday the 2nd of August 6.15pm.

We need a good turnout and some of the older players have already said they will be there to do what is right- even if it means putting MA boots on again!

Other news is the web site is rockin’ again. Ye can now see classic shark video and some of the memories have been golden. It was all happening on facebook but Terrace has got it working on the front page well done John Travolta boogies on down!

OK I better get going before I cause myself a mischief. I might be getting my blog on Facebook and my dinner is getting cold.

Rock on boys and girls. Especially YOU Davey Hobbs!

It has been wee whiley since ma last posting and I want to apologize to the all the fan and say sorry.

Nae excuses though, I’m a former Newmarket captain so I dinnae tolerate excuses, I had a sore foot that kept me from writing but lets just settle doon and never worry about it.

2009 – The Year of the Veteran!

Wille sees Red!

Wille sees Red!

Happy New Year ladies and laddies, this is yoor captain speaking!

So the big 2009 is here, and Sharks got the year off to a flying start with a great 4-2 win over Top Joes.

Good for you my lovely boys!

Willie Miller got a red kip and ha… sorry…. Wille Miller got a red card – and had tae leave the field but other than that we can have no complaints with the first game of 2009.

We were going to ask Willie for an exclusive interview for the web site, but sometimes he can get affy angry and if he decided to swing for me he’d likely coz me a real mischief!

Sharks next match is against Lybster.

Lets hope the boys can continue on their fine winning streak without “shark on a leash” Miller.

See you later lads, boogie on down!

Football DVD

I hear rumours of “The Pathetic Sharks Story” a spoof football documentry now in the pre-production stages.  It will features 25 years of sharks historic football highlights with newly remastered slow-motion, retro ZX Spectrum and  Amiga computer player biographies and vintage computerised footage! Look out for preview including  joke bits like ” the Laurel and Hardy look-a-like competition “, Mark Alexander as ” The Fugitive ” and Fraser and Ian in ” The New Avengers ” introduction – all exclusive to my Gigipedia blog!

This DVD will feature audio commentary from “The Beta Viewing” – where we’ll get a few lads together and record their voices as they watch a sneak preview – should be fun! Players wishing to appear or willing to lend their voice to the disc itself, should get in touch.

The Sharks web site will be following the creation of the disc.

Well that sounds interesting. Who knows – there may be a vacancy for someone with a sexy disco announcer voice, a perfect job for me!

Later ma loons!

The Return of Roddy Farmer!

That’s all for now apart to say that Mr Spock is back and he is a member of the Ganghut. He must be out of his VULCAN mind if he’s thinking of a return to the fray.
He could cause himself a mischief!

Boogie on Down!

I FACEBOOKED THE CAPTAIN!

Mighty me boys it seems like ages since ma last post and there is lots to report.

I now am a fully-fledged Facebook fan and like DT, Dave and Daff am playing bowling buddies – a 3d game where I pretend to be Fred Flintstone and swing my mouse like a bandit till I coz myself a mischief!

Other games included OWNED – were (as I said last time) you bid on folks photo’s.  At the moment there are five players doing this.  Other Sharks football stars at facebook include former favourites Brian Mackay and Hendy. Hendy is back in Thurso next week for a kick-a-bout.

On Facebook I am a Dominoes Legend and challenge you to beat me if you dare.

Lowe at Lowe's

I have to go now. There is a  big disco soon and need to practice my vocal introduction so I can guarantee being at my breast.

I’VE STILL GOT IT

Vintage photograph of Sharks legendary captainRecent training video footage of Shark has got a LOT of people talking, clearly the team is on the up.
One of these reasons is the sudden return to form of me myself and I.
Yes credit where credit is due, I was the man of the hour the other week although I nearly caused myself a mischief. It seems the ball just didn’t want to go into the net with me, which was good when I played a spell in goals, but no so good when I played outfield in my usual role, IE sneaking out of defence to go for glory.

I missed Sunday when I dropped a CD on the floor at home and it fell down the stairs and shattered its case in two. Shame I wasn’t there as I missed the return of Colin Lehardy and my god mate Robert Gray.
Anyway time to go. Beam me up Scotty!
